WINNIPEG — The Manitoba and Nunavut chapters of the Children’s Wish Foundation have received a timely holiday donation of more than $100,000.

DMT Development Systems Group Inc., which provides IT solutions for the automative industry, presented a cheque for $102,225 earlier this month.

“When corporations lend their support to this worthy cause, it’s a win-win situation,” said Maria Toscano, director of the local Children’s Wish Foundation chapter.

“Helping children fulfill a wish is not only a wonderfully rewarding experience, it is also a powerful reflection of a company’s brand.”

The funds will cover a number of local wishes for children living with high-risk life threatening illnesses. The organization doesn’t receive any government funding for such services.

The donation is the largest one by a corporation in the chapter’s history.
