Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a man after a convenience store was held up on Wednesday morning.
At around 2:45 a.m., a masked man entered a store in the 100 block of Regent Avenue and demanded cash. He had a weapon and managed to flee before police could arrive.
The lone employee wasn’t injured in the robbery.
Police and K9 unit were eventually able to track the suspect down in the 800 block of Regent Avenue.
Tracey Wayne Russell, 45, of Winnipeg has been charged with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He remains in the custody.
