Christmas Day Assault Leaves Winnipeg Man in Hospital

Winnipeg Police CrestA 23-year-old man who was seriously assaulted on Christmas morning remains in hospital in stable condition.

Winnipeg police say the assault happened at 6 a.m. in the area of Ellice Avenue and Maryland Street.

The victim suffered serious upper body injuries and was taken to hospital.

The suspect in the assault is described as an aboriginal male, approximately 6’0″ tall, with a thin build, short black hair and was wearing all black clothing and red and black coloured high-top runners.
