As you prepare to bring in 2016 with a bang, we’ve assembled a list of events around Winnipeg to help you celebrate the end of the year.

The Forks

The most popular and family-friendly event in the city is traditionally at The Forks. A fireworks display is set for 8 p.m. with day-long winter activities at the Arctic Glacier Winter Park. Live entertainment is planned on the main stage from 5-7 p.m., including performances by The Middle Coast (5 p.m.), Slow Leaves (6 p.m.) and Sierra Noble (7 p.m.).

RBC Convention Centre

This party will look at the 1950s with Rock Around the Clock NYE. The price per person is $135 or $1,000 for a table of eight. A full night of dining and entertainment is included.

The Fort Garry Hotel

The Fort Garry Hotel is hosting a dinner and murder mystery, with cocktails, dinner and seven professional actors dispersed amongst the guests incognito until “all hell breaks loose.” The cost is $110 per person and includes tax and a gratuity. Doors open at 7 p.m., with dinner served at 10 p.m. and dancing until 1 a.m.

Mere Hotel

A more quieter New Year’s Eve can be found at the Mere Hotel on Waterfront Drive, as they are offering NYE guests a rate of $179, including a bottle of sparkling wine for your room and a late checkout on January 1 at 1 p.m.

Palomino Club New Year’s Eve

The final big blowout at the World Famous Palomino Club before it closes its doors for good. Pop Vegas will perform on stage. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 at the door. The party begins at 8 p.m.

Nu Year’s Eve at The Met

Featuring Drux, Lambo and Tec-G in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. Tickets are $40 and the party runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Resolution NYE Gala

This party is in support of the MS Society of Manitoba and will take place at the Radisson Hotel. A silent auction, 50/50 draw, and live auction will make up the evening’s festivities. Tickets are $79.99 and up.

New Year’s Eve with the Dust Rhinos

The Dust Rhinos hit the stage at the King’s Head Pub and Eatery in the Exchange District. The party runs from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The King’s Head is also hosting a club crawl aimed at students.
