A two-month-old girl is in critical condition in a Winnipeg hospital after being seriously injured on Monday.
RCMP say the child was located near the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation at around 10 a.m. As officers were heading to the location, they were told the victim had been taken to the local hospital before being transferred to Winnipeg.
The Manitoba RCMP Serious Crime Unit and Dakota Ojibway Police Service are investigating.
Police say a home on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation is part of that investigation.
No further details have been released.
