The Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired right-handed pitcher Zach Dando from the Texas AirHogs in exchange for right-handed pitcher Mark Pope for the 2016 season.

Dando was 5-8 with a 4.07 ERA for the Grand Prairie AirHogs last season. In 38 games, the Denver, Colorado native filled a variety of roles, making nine starts and 29 relief appearances that included six saves.

The Goldeyes also announced Monday they have placed left-handed pitcher Nick Hernandez and right-handed pitchers Matt Jackson and Brad Mincey on waivers for the purpose of granting their release for retirement.
