A 32-year-old man has been arrested after leading Winnipeg police on a stolen vehicle chase Tuesday night.
Police spotted a vehicle that had been stolen from the River Heights area on January 1 driving near Inkster Boulevard and McGregor Street. They attempted to pull the vehicle over when the driver accelerated.
The driver headed north on Main Street and into the RM of St. Andrews. Air 1 maintained a visual on the suspect and directed officers on the ground to the man’s location. RCMP also assisted and were able to make an arrest after a short foot pursuit.
Joseph Christopher Colosimo, 32, of Winnipeg faces numerous charges and remains in custody.
No injuries or damage was reported during the incident.
