Winnipeg Duo Charged with Rural Home Invasion

RCMP Crest LogoTwo people from Winnipeg have been arrested and charged after a home invasion on New Year’s Day in the RM of DeSalaberry.

RCMP say residents inside the home woke up to noise in the early hours of January 1 and called police.

Police arrested Brett Sutherland, 34, and Candace Scott, 29, at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Police also recovered a stolen Audi from Headingley, Manitoba at the scene.

The two suspects face several charges and remain in custody.
