Signs to welcome visitors to Winnipeg have been amended to include the dates of the 2017 Canada Summer Games.

The temporary overlay on the “Heart of the Continent” highway signs show the dates of July 28 to August 13, 2017.

“Now every visitor and resident of Winnipeg arriving to our city by road will know that we are welcoming the country in the summer of 2017,” said Jeff Hnatiuk, president and CEO of the 2017 Host Society.

The Games will attract more than 4,000 athletes and 20,000 visitors to the city, with an expected economic impact exceeding $150 million.
