A new smartphone app has been launched by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority to make finding health care information easier.

Connected Care is available for Apple devices and allows users to find current emergency department wait times, search for hospitals, community health programs and local organizations.

“The WRHA remains committed to ensuring? that the public, and our staff, have the best possible access to health service information,” said Jeanette Edwards, regional director of Primary Health Care and Chronic Disease with the WRHA.

“Being able to find the most appropriate care with a literal touch of a button will be invaluable to Winnipeggers.”

The app also provides quicker access to the My Right Care, Sign Up For Life, and Family Doctor Finder websites.

The app is a free download from the App Store.
