A conference focusing on remaining safe in the workplace is taking place in Winnipeg beginning on Wednesday.
Safety Services Manitoba is hosting the Occupational Health and Safety Conference at the Victoria Inn Hotel.
“We are passionate about reducing risks and injuries — whether in the workplace or on the road — and we are passionate about helping to ensure that each and every Manitoban arrives home safely every night,” said Judy Murphy, president and CEO of SSM.
The two-day conference includes workshops, a chance to visit over 40 exhibitors and hear five keynote speakers, including an expert on advocating for brain safety on the job, and an expert on mental health and addictions in the workplace.
The conference runs January 20-21 and is anticipated to sell out.
