The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed field manager Rick Forney to a three-year contract extension through the 2018 season.
Once the 2016 2016 American Association seasons get underway in the spring, it will be Forney’s 11th as the Goldeyes’ manager and 20th overall with the organization.
“We are excited that Rick will continue to lead the Goldeyes into the future,” said Goldeyes’ general manager Andrew Collier.
“Rick is one of the most successful managers in independent baseball history, and puts his heart and soul into providing our great fans with a competitive team year after year.”
The Goldeyes have also extended the contract of hitting coach Tom Vaeth through the 2018 season.
