James Richardson International Airport (WINNIPEG AIRPORTS AUTHORITY)
Passenger traffic through Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport has reached record levels for the second year in a row.
The airport saw 3,778,035 passengers in 2015 — a growth of nearly 3% over the prior year.
“Momentum is building in the Winnipeg market, as evidenced by the solid growth in our passenger numbers for the second consecutive year,” said Barry Rempel, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority.
“We are encouraged to see a growing number of people flying to and from Winnipeg. It is particularly helpful in our efforts with air carriers to increase capacity on existing routes and in attracting new destinations to better serve our community.”
