RCMP Crest LogoAbout 40 cows are being rounded up on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Winnipeg near the Manitoba and Ontario border.

A semi-trailer carrying the cattle went off the road down an embankment at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Some of the cattle were injured in the accident, as well as the driver, who sustained minor injuries.

RCMP say drivers can expect delays for several hours this afternoon until all cattle have been herded.
