Winnipeg police have charged an 18-year-old man with uttering threats after he allegedly posted a YouTube video threatening students at Kildonan East Collegiate.

Police were made aware of the video on Wednesday night and located the suspect on Thursday afternoon.

He has also been charged with four counts of harassing communications and mischief under $5,000.

He was released on a promise to appear.

The video, titled “Wiping Out Kildonan East,” included a male voice rapping over a still picture of the school, insulting students by name and including the line “until you guys hit me back, boom, school dead,” followed by the sound of machine gun fire.
