CentrePort CanadaWINNIPEG — CentrePort Canada has its newest tenant in Canada Cartage.

The transportation, logistics and fleet maintenance company will occupy eight out of 12 acres of space, including a 46,000-square-foot facility with office space and cross dock capabilities.

“With terminals in most major centres, from British Columbia through Quebec, we recognized the advantages of centralizing operations at CentrePort. This is a significant investment in CentrePort and the community at large,” said Tyler Paquin, vice-president of shared services with Canada Cartage.

Paquin said the company had outgrown its previous space and required a site with larger yard capabilities. The new, larger building also allowed for the consolidation of Winnipeg operations and regional administration.

More than 200 employees will work out of the company’s new regional hub, located in Brookside Industrial Park West.
