Buck Pierce is taking on a role he knows a little something about next season.

The former Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback will move from coaching running backs to coaching quarterbacks. He will work on the continued development of starting quarterback Drew Willy, as well as other QBs on the roster.

Pierce was traded to his former B.C. Lions in 2013, but returned to the Blue and Gold a year later to join the team’s coaching staff.

Pierce spent nine seasons in the CFL, finishing his career with 15,289 yards, 76 touchdowns, 1,200 completions, and 130 games played.
