Getting your hands on a bottle of the award-winning Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye might get much tougher than before Christmas.

Workers at the Crown Royal distillery in Gimli have voted 100 percent in favour of strike action.

The workers at Diageo Canada will begin walking the picket line on Friday, March 4 at midnight if a deal can’t be reached.

Talks are set to take place again beginning February 16 between UFCW Local 832 and their employer.

More than 50 employees work at the Gimli-based plant, which is known for producing the world famous Crown Royal whisky.
