Enumerators will begin knocking on doors in Manitoba’s 57 electoral divisions today.
Approximately 3,000 enumerators will collect names of eligible voters for the voters list in advance of election day on April 19.
Enumerators will request the name, address and phone number of all eligible voters in the household. Voters are not required to provide phone numbers if they do not wish to do so. This information will also be shared with the candidates and registered political parties.
Manitoba residents are eligible to vote if they:
• are Canadian citizens;
• are at least 18 years of age on or before election day; and
• have resided in Manitoba for at least six months immediately before election day.
Enumerators will visit homes wearing a yellow Elections Manitoba vest. A photo ID badge will also include their name and position.
Voters will receive an enumeration record that indicates where to vote on election day and provides contact information for their returning officer.
Anyone with questions can call Elections Manitoba at (204) 945-3225 or at 1-866-628-6837.
