Valentine’s Day is next week and if grabbing a burger from a drive-thru doesn’t exactly win you points, three of these restaurants might.
OpenTable has come out with a list of the top 50 most romantic restaurants in Canada as selected by diners of the app.
“Canadians love to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special meal,” said Ziv Schierau, head of national accounts for OpenTable Canada. “The restaurants on this list have been chosen by OpenTable diners for their ability to provide intimate dining experiences that offer scrumptious cuisine, a sensuous, rich ambiance and memories to cherish all year.”
The top Winnipeg restaurants on the list are 529 Wellington, Bailey’s Restaurant and Lounge, and The Velvet Glove at the Fairmont Winnipeg.
According to OpenTable data, 45 percent of Canadians wait until the week before Valentine’s Day to make their reservation. Ten percent of those surveyed make their reservation on Valentine’s Day.
The most common cuisines for Canadians last Valentine’s Day were Italian, Steakhouse and Canadian.
