Two Arrested After Cocaine, Loaded Gun Found in St. Vital Home

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people were arrested in St. Vital on Wednesday after Winnipeg police executed a search warrant on a home in the 200 block of Beliveau Road.

Police found a loaded .45 calibre handgun, 9.69 ounces of cocaine worth an estimated $20,000, drug paraphernalia and $51,810 in cash.

Richard Paul Anthony Blackwood, 28, of Winnipeg has been charged with numerous drug, weapon and breach of court order-related offences. He remains in custody.

A 27-year-old Winnipeg woman was also arrested and faces drug and weapon-related charges. She was released on a promise to appear.
