Red River Co-op has begun disseminating $32 million in equity cash payouts to its members.
The co-operative brought in sales exceeding $578 million last year with net profits of more than $33 million.
Members benefit from a 6.25% return on fuel purchases, 5% on pharmacy purchases, and 2% on food purchases.
Nearly 235,000 equity cheques are being issued averaging about $140.22 each. Members can expect their cheque to arrive as early as today.
Red River Co-op plans to open up a new cardlock in Winnipeg this March in the Waters Business Park on Dugald Road and construction will begin in the spring on a new gas bar, convenience store and car wash on Ness Avenue.
