A new messenger app designed to keep children safe while communicating online is the first of its kind to be compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
Meucci allows kids to connect with live party events, game schedules and participate in an online club, but in a safe environment. The app is human-moderated and uses advanced chat monitoring tools to ensure children are communicating safely.
The Kelowna-developed app is being launched as a feature through the Winnipeg Jets, Club Jets App on March 8.
CEO Janice Taylor of JBF Kids Inc. says the company’s goal is to educate parents and youth for a positive and healthy experience online.
The feature is offered through the Club Jets app and is designed specifically for youth under 13.
