Selkirk Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle

RCMP Crest LogoA 76-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in Selkirk.

The crash happened at around noon on Main Street near Daerwood School.

RCMP say the Selkirk woman was hit at a crosswalk and taken to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The two people in the vehicle were not injured.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the crash. Alcohol isn’t being considered a factor.

About an hour earlier, a 79-year-old woman in Steinbach was hit and killed by a pickup truck while crossing the street.
