Police Identify Transcona Stabbing Victim

Winnipeg Police CrestA 45-year-old man who died after being stabbed in Transcona on Tuesday has been identified.

Winnipeg police say Frederick Bird was the victim in the incident in the 100 block of Allenby Crescent. Officers responded at around 10:45 p.m. and found Bird suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased in hospital.

Bernadette Neepin, 37, of Winnipeg has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody.
