The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba has received a cheque worth $40,000 from the Winnipeg Police Association.

The WPA made the presentation on Friday, with funds being raised from the association’s annual charity ball last year.

“The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba is an organization that continues to deliver outstanding care for young Manitobans,” said Maurice Sabourin, president of the WPA.

“Whether you’ve personally needed their services or not, the well-being of children is at the forefront of all of our minds.”

The WPA has raised more than $500,000 to date for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.

This year’s charity ball is Saturday, April 30 at Canad Inns Polo Park. To purchase tickets, call (204) 957-1579.
