The Manitoba Liberals would eliminate the wait for public childcare in the province, if elected in April.

Leader Rana Bokhari says her party will upgrade current childcare facilities and build new centres to handle the demand.

“Parents want to return to work after having a child and know their little one is in good hands,” Bokhari said.

“We believe an investment in social infrastructure and an investment in early childhood education is the right thing to do and we are going to do it.”

The Liberals would also invest $30 million in training and retention of early childhood educators.
