New Flyer Industries has been awarded a contract by the New York City Transit Authority for 138 buses.
The Winnipeg-based bus manufacturer will produce the 60-foot Xcelsior buses as part of a $78 U.S. million deal.
New Flyer has also bid on a similar contract to supply the NYCT with an additional 139 60-foot Xcelsior buses, which has yet to be awarded.
