Downtown is on the agenda for the three main political parties on March 21.
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ will host a two-hour forum at the Winnipeg Art Gallery to get parties on the record about issues surrounding the city’s core.
Liberal leader Rana Bokhari, NDP leader Greg Selinger and Progressive Conservative Party candidate Heather Stefanson will attend. PC leader Brian Pallister will not participate.
“Manitobans value good downtown policy as it relates to downtown development, transportation, smart growth, heritage preservation, fiscal responsibility, cultural awareness, safety, affordable housing, and homelessness,” said Stefano Grande, Downtown BIZ executive director.
“This is an opportunity for our members and downtown stakeholders to hear from candidates and their platforms as they relate to these important issues.”
Journalist Shannon VanRaes will moderate the discussion. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The forum runs from 5-7 p.m.
