Meals on Wheels has put the call out for businesses and organizations to help the service.
Through the Adopt-A-Route program, employers can give back to their community by lending a hand in delivering meals to those unable to prepare a dish for themselves.
“It’s also a great way to raise a company’s profile, strengthen employee engagement, and allow employees to fulfill a desire to volunteer,” said executive director Rhonda Gardner.
Meals on Wheels depends on volunteers drivers and servers to deliver hundreds of meals to clients’ homes every day.
