Veteran Winnipeg broadcaster Joe Aiello is making a return to where listeners know him best — on a classic rock radio station.
Aiello is the new co-host of the 97.5 BIG FM morning show with Shadoe Davis.
“I am so pumped to be back on Winnipeg’s Classic Rock radio,” Aiello said in a release. “Shadoe and I are great friends and now our laughs will happen on the air.”
Aiello has been on KiSS 102.3 — and before that 102.3 Clear FM — since being shuffled over from sister station 92 CITI FM in 2012 to make way for Wheeler, Philly and Rena.
Aiello is the second on-air personality to leave Rogers and head over to Corus Entertainment in recent months. Shadoe Davis departed earlier this year after leaving CITI, where he had been since 2010.
Aiello’s time at BIG FM may be limited, as Corus is notorious for terminating its talent every couple of years when ratings don’t reach management’s expectations.
Shadoe and Joe premieres Monday, March 21 and airs weekday mornings from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
