Two Charged in Man’s Death on Wasagamack First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoTwo men have been charged with the death of a 25-year-old man near Island Lake, Manitoba.

RCMP were called to the Wasagamack nursing station on March 15 at around 8:45 a.m. after the man was found unresponsive on the shore near the lake. The victim was pronounced deceased at the health centre.

Loren McDougall, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder and Steve McDougall, 19, with manslaughter. Both men turned themselves into police the same day.

Both suspects appeared in Winnipeg court on March 18 and remain in custody.
