Manitoba’s Liberal Party would ensure students receive an increased amount of exercise in Manitoba schools.

“We believe in the sound body, sound mind principles of the ancient Greek cultures,” leader Rana Bokhari said.

“Children who develop good exercise habits are more likely to maintain those into their adult years.”

Bokhari said her government would work with school divisions to ensure they have the capacity to enhance physical education programs into their daily curriculums.

Bokhari didn’t say how much implementing increased physical activity would be, only to say it would “inexpensive.”
