Manitoba’s NDP say they would create 1,000 new personal care home beds for seniors if the party is re-elected.

Leader Greg Selinger said his party would provide more supports for palliative care for seniors and families caring for their loved ones through hospice beds.

Selinger also said the NDP would improve home care with extended respite hours, expanded pilot programs offering longer after-hours services, and more support for intensive home care services.

Selinger added the party would also fund a new research chair in palliative care with the University of Manitoba.
