Alcohol Blamed in Fatal Crash on Highway 6

RCMP Crest LogoAlcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that killed one man and injured four others on Sunday.

The single-vehicle crash happened at around 10:35 a.m. on Highway 6 about two kilometres south of Grahamdale, Manitoba.

RCMP say a northbound pickup truck lost control and rolled. Four people were ejected from the vehicle. They were taken to hospital in stable condition by STARS air ambulance.

A 30-year-old Fairford man riding as a passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 25-year-old man driving the truck was located. No charges have yet been laid and police continue to investigate.
