The Winnipeg Goldeyes will pay tribute this summer to the city’s most beloved sports fan.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance to Shaw Park on July 13 will receive a Dancing Gabe bobblehead.
Gabriel “Dancing Gabe” Langlois has entertained sports fans in the stands for more than 30 years.
“Gabe is a true inspiration to everyone he encounters, and honouring him in this way is the least we could do in return for his unconditional loyalty to our local teams,” said Goldeyes owner Sam Katz.
Gabe will be honoured as part of the baseball club’s annual Hometown Heroes night before the Fish take on the visiting Sioux City Explorers.
