Teulon Woman Dead After Truck, Van Collide on Highway 7

April 4, 2016 11:42 AM | News

RCMP Crest LogoA rural Manitoba woman has died after her truck and a van collided Friday on Highway 7.

Teulon RCMP said they were called to the scene at about 9:20 p.m. three kms south of the Fraserwood turnoff in the RM of Armstrong.

There, they found a truck heading south on Hwy. 7 spun out, into the path of an oncoming van heading north in the opposite lane.

The three people in the truck were taken to hospital with various injuries. The driver of the truck, a 53-year-old woman from Teulon, died at the scene.

RCMP said the icy roads at the time likely contributed to the crash, but alcohol did not.
