Selkirk Man Charged After Violent Attack on Seniors

RCMP Crest LogoRCMP in Selkirk have charged a 22-year-old man after two seniors were violently attacked in their home last Sunday.

Justin Bannab faces multiple charges of assault and breaking and entering with intent.

Police say an 88-year-old man and 85-year-old woman were in their home when they were both seriously assaulted around 8:30 p.m.

Police received a call shortly after about a suspicious man walking in the area. Officers attended and arrested Bannab at the scene.

Both victims are currently in stable condition in hospital.

The suspect appeared in court earlier Tuesday.
