Suspect Arrested in Shooting on Dakota Tipi First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoA suspect has been arrested after two people were shot on Dakota Tipi First Nation early Thursday.

Manitoba RCMP say the shooting occurred at around 4:30 a.m., sending one man and a woman to hospital.

RCMP arrested Irvine William Tyson Pashe (Tyson) at around 1:20 p.m. after receiving a tip from a community member. Earlier in the day, police said Pashe was considered armed and dangerous.

RCMP are still asking residents to remain in their homes while they continue to investigate.

Dakota Tipi First Nation is located about 90 km west of Winnipeg near Portage la Prairie.
