Man Charged After Police Raid Marijuana Delivery Service

Winnipeg Police CrestA 53-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged after police say he was operating a marijuana dispensary delivery service.

Posters had been posted downtown and in the west end of the city advertising the service.

Police executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a home in the 1000 block of Henderson Highway. They seized 166 grams of dried marijuana worth an estimated $1,660, nine grams of cannabis resin worth an estimated $720, various packaging material and computer equipment.

Police arrested and charged the man with several drug-related offences. The suspect, who hasn’t been named, was released on a promise to appear.
