The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden has accomplished quite a bit in recent years — winning numerous awards and being lauded across the country. An upcoming gala fundraiser will push their efforts even further.
The evening on May 28 will feature guest speaker Dr. Kevin Campbell and special guest host Ace Burpee.
“We’re super excited for this event and tickets are already selling very well,” said CFDC executive director Peter Cantelon.
“The beauty of what we are doing is people have an opportunity to contribute to both the CFDC and the Morden Area Foundation at the same time while being seriously entertained. Anyone who has heard Dr. Campbell speak or been to an event hosted by Ace Burpee, a huge fan of the CFDC, knows they are in for a pretty amazing treat.”
The gala will include a dinner prepared by a local chef, wine, an auction and a live jazz band.
The gala will be held at the Morden Friendship Centre. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 and available through the Morden Area Foundation at info@mordenfoundation.ca or by calling (204) 822-5614.
