Winnipeg Man Stabbed to Death in Saskatoon

Police LightAn 18-year-old man from Winnipeg was stabbed to death in Saskatoon early Sunday morning.

Saskatoon police say they were called to a business shortly after 1 a.m. where they found the man unconscious. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon court Monday morning.

The victim and accused were known to each other and it’s believed that an initial altercation took place in a vehicle located nearby and then continued into the business.

The identity of the man isn’t being released.

It’s Saskatoon’s fifth homicide of 2016.
