WINNIPEG — Three hospitals are teaming up for the biggest grand prize lottery in the province’s history valued at more than $1.5 million.
The 2016 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery is a combined effort by the Health Sciences Centre, Children’s, and St. Boniface Hospital foundations.
“Our three hospitals have a tremendous impact on the quality of care we provide to our loved ones through life-saving technology, research discoveries, or helpful programs and services for families,” said Jon Lyon, president and CEO of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
Manitobans stand to benefit by supporting all three organizations when they purchase a ticket, with a chance to win a grand prize of either a luxury Maric home package in Winnipeg, the Foxridge home in Winnipeg with tons of cash, or a cottage just north of Gimli with 250 feet of lakefront on Lake Winnipeg.
The early bird prize is a trip on a private jet to New York City or Phoenix, Arizona, plus $50,000 cash.
The 50/50 Plus draw is expected to grow up to $1.7 million, with the winner taking home half. Another big draw are the Big Apple Plus prizes, with a new winner every day in August who will choose a $3,600 Apple prize, including iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and Apple Watches.
