MTS residential customers will be shelling out more for their services by this summer.
The telecommunications company quietly announced on its website of the price increase.
“Beginning with your July bill, we’re changing some of our prices because the costs to provide these services has gone up,” MTS said. “These price increases will ensure we can continue to support, maintain, and evolve your services.”
MTS is being sold to Bell Canada in a deal worth $3.9 billion pending regulatory approval.
Winnipeg and Brandon customers will pay $5 more per month for Home Phone Essentials and $1.79 more per month for each individual line.
Call display, call forward, call answer basic, call waiting, call forward fix and teen ring features will increase by $1. Flex Pack 4 and Flex Pack 5 add-ons will go up by $3.
MTS Ultimate TV users will pay $6 for RAI, and $4 monthly for Explore, Movie Picks, PrimeTime2 and Super.
