As part of the first stage of a major street renewal project, Selkirk Avenue between Salter Street and McGregor Street will be closed to vehicles starting Monday, May 9 at 7 a.m.
The City of Winnipeg says the first stage is expected to be completed by July 31.
Immediately following the completion of stage one, stage two of the project will commence which will require the complete closure of Selkirk Avenue from McGregor Street to Arlington Street. It’s expected the second stage will be completed by September 30, at which time Selkirk Avenue will be reopened.
Pedestrian sidewalk access will be maintained throughout the project.
Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.
