THOMPSON, Man. – A third person has been arrested and charged in the death of a young man in northern Manitoba.

The body of Nicholas Brophy, a 19-year-old Thompson resident, was found just outside the city on April 26.

Brophy was last seen leaving a friend’s house on the evening of Sept. 8, 2015, and his family posted a $50,000 reward for information leading to his safe return.

Justin Noah Baker, who is 19, and Zach Edwin Linklater, who is 22, both of Thompson, were arrested and charged last week with first-degree murder.

Police now say Mark Bradley Thomas, a 20-year-old resident of South Indian Lake, Man., has been arrested on the same charge.

Thomas was scheduled for an appearance in a Winnipeg courtroom.
