Winnipeg police say a written threat was found at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate Monday.
Police said Wednesday they were made aware of a “general written threat” located within the school. While police did not say what the threat was, other media have reported the threat made an allusion to the Columbine School shooting and referenced May 11, 2016.
The school remains open and kids are going to classes, but police said they will remain on site throughout the day.
“Since that time, numerous police resources have been working with school administration to determine the nature of the threat and who may be responsible,” reads a statement from Winnipeg Police.
Interviews are on-going.
