The Assiniboine riverwalk (THE FORKS)
The Assiniboine riverwalk will be open as of Saturday for the public to enjoy a stroll this May long weekend.
City crews have reinstalled lighting from the Osborne Bridge to the Main Street Bridge. Finishing touches are also being put up along the pathway.
The forecast definitely calls for walking weather in Winnipeg, with sunny skies and balmy temperatures today until Sunday. Monday will see a chance of showers to end the long weekend.
While you’re down near The Forks, Splash Dash Tours have their boats in the water and are ready to cruise for the season. The cost to ride is $11 for adults and $9 for seniors and youth.
