A 72-year-old woman from Saskatoon was killed Thursday after the vehicle she was travelling in lost control in the RM of Rosedale.
Minnedosa RCMP responded to Highway 5 near Road 98 N at around 5 p.m. for the two-vehicle collision.
Police say a northbound car lost control and hit the soft shoulder, causing the driver to overcorrect and cross into the oncoming lane of traffic where a southbound pickup truck collided with the vehicle.
The female passenger in the car was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her husband, an 82-year-old man, and a 72-year-old male passenger from Neepawa, were taken to hospital in stable condition.
Alcohol has been ruled out as a factor in the crash. Police are continuing to investigate.
