WINNIPEG — A new summer exhibit at Assiniboine Park Zoo set a visitation record over the May long weekend.

Dinosaurs Alive! drew in more than 15,500 people between Saturday, May 21 and Monday, May 23.

“We knew that Dinosaurs Alive would be a family favourite and this weekend’s attendance confirms how excited the community was to see the exhibit,” said Trevor Clearwater, senior director of business development and sales.

“We were also delighted to see how many visitors purchased membership after their experience at Dinosaurs Alive!, showing that they are excited to come back again.”

Besides Dinosaurs Alive!, the zoo also kicked off its 14 daily Keeper Talks, and opened the Australian Walkabout exhibit.

The Assiniboine Park Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
